I have new O2 sensors, relatively new plugs, new vacuum lines and IACV hoses, new PCV valves, regular oil changes, Red Line fuel System cleaner, etc. and I still get ~15mpg in city driving. When I dynoed last year I put up good #'s for an NA, so I don't suspect any problems with compression. I think it just varies widely with driving habits, conditions and fuel mixtures. I also heel-and-toe downshift, so I burn a little extra fuel on my rev-matching.
